GALLERY OPENING on FRIDAY, MARCH 5, from 6-9 PM - the Results are IN!

Thank you to everyone who attended the RE-grand opening on March 5! The turnout was fantastic. There must have been over 200 people there - friends existing and new (notice my avoidance of the term “old”!).

Guests enjoyed lampwork beadmaking demos thanks to Sally, Jari Sheese’s apprentice. Some lucky people even tried their hands at the torch - looks like we have a few more “flame converts” in the house! Others placed handmade glass beads and wire on the Community Tree in the large classroom. Bonnie Ramirez and Nancy Lee provided tours of the gallery, studio and classroom space and viewed works by all three artists.

Visitors also enjoyed Bonnie’s authentic Tex-Mex flamin’ hot salsa, jicama salad, and Chipotle-Cinnamon brownies, courtesy of Bonnie’s student Melissa A.

Next: Visit Flame Art Studios next month as we open our doors again for IDADA’S First Friday Art Tour on Friday, April 2 from 6-9 pm

About the Studio

Flame Art Studios is a collaboration of  three “fiery” women,  Nancy Lee, Jari Sheese and Bonnie Ramirez, bonded by a mutual addiction to fire: independent artists, working in diverse mediums, all crafted by the torch. Metal, glass and fine silver have all tasted the kiss of the creative flame.

Flame Art Studios is a private, independent studio that works in cooperative ventures with other artists and studios, and strongly promotes new & established local artists.

Flame Art Studios offers private and group instruction in our various “hot” mediums, with classroom studios in the following practices (click on titles for class info):

WELDING/PMC - Torch Queen Bonnie Ramirez

METALSMITHING CLASS - Nancy Lee

LAMPWORK BEAD MAKING - Fuego Loco Studios Jari Sheese

Enjoy classes on welding for women (and some men), Precious Metal Clay, metalsmithing and jewelry fabrication from metals, lampwork bead making, wireworking, etching, and other related classes and workshops. Each artist offers classes independently through their own studios and on their own schedules. Please contact individual artists or click on the links above for class information.

Flame Art Studios has recently moved to the Mass Ave. warehouse district, in the huge Circle City Industrial Complex at 1125 Brookside Ave., C-15, Indianapolis, IN, 46202. There is a lot to see in this 500,000 square foot complex - many other artists show their own work and the works of others in a variety of gallery settings. The building is hopping during IDADA’S First Friday Gallery Tours, held, appropriately, on the first Friday of each month from 6-9 PM.
