FEBRUARY
Thousands took advantage of Indy’s Super Bowl Village earlier this month, which is great! So, in case you missed it (or would like to have a last look) I am keeping the graceful Tina Lynch Wilson’s ”When Chandeliers Hung From the Sky,” Asian-influenced collages, for an informal “closing show” on Thursday, February 23 from 6-9pm. Check out the other galleries in the Circle City Industrial Complex as well. See the latest jewelry designs from yours truly, too. It will be laid back, for sure, and some might even say fun. But wait, there’s more! A mere five minutes from the Complex and on the same night, see Matt Eickhoff’s sports action paintings show at Indy Indie Artist Colony and the ethereal Urushi abstract works of Nhat Tran at Gallery 924 in her show “Orchestral Collage.”
All events are free and open to the public!

I will be teaching the popular Fold Forming method of forging metal (invented by Charles Lewton-Brain) at the Indianapolis Art Center on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 10AM-4PM. Clicking on the image below will take you to the Indianapolis Art Center website, where you can register for this class. Cost of class is $156.00, Art Center Members cost is $132.60, and includes all supplies. We will be working with roofing-type copper (about 22 gauge), hammers, and torches for annealing the copper. The focus will be on learning how to achieve a multitude of different shapes and forms in the metal, rather than completing specific jewelry items.

I’ll be at Arrowmont in Gatlinburg, TN, again! This time as Instructor Assistant for (my hero) John Cogswell. More details as things develop.
